Micro light-emitting diode (Micro-LED) display is an emerging technology thanks to its high brightness, fast switching speed, and low power consumption. The commercialization of this technique being explored by developing advanced processing techniques on industrial scale. Recent ground-breaking advances in the manufacture Micro-LEDs are mainly based powerful laser micro/nano-processing with unique ability fabricate materials, structures devices advantages non-contacting processing, efficiency, adjustable coverage from micro- macroscale compatibility organic inorganic materials. This paper categorizes, reviews analyzes main challenges technical solutions Micro-LED displays various manufacturing processes, covering chip dicing, geometry shaping, annealing, lift-off (LLO), laser-based transfer, laser-assist bonding (LAB) repair. fundamental principles these discussed along their basic mechanisms, followed exploration latest progress field.
